The Deol Khandaan has finally got its ‘bahu’ in the form of Drisha Acharya, the long-time girlfriend and now wife of Karan Deol, son of Sunny Deol and grandson of veteran actor Dharmendra.
Karan and Drisha officially became husband and wife on Sunday afternoon at a five-star hotel in Mumbai in the neighbourhood of Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat.
Sharing lovely pictures from the wedding, Karan wrote, “The beginning of a beautiful journey in our lives. We are overwhelmingly thankful for the abundant blessings and well wishes that surround us.”
Bollywood superstars from Aamir Khan to Salman Khan showed up in strength to bless the newlywed couple. Everyone was happy to see Karan Deol, the actor who made his debut with ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ finally settle down with his ladylove.
Well, everyone knows about Karan Deol, but a few know about his bride Drisha Acharya. For the unversed, Drisha happens to be the great-granddaughter of acclaimed filmmaker Bimal Roy. Drisha’s mother moved to Dubai and is a former advertising executive and promoter of one of the Middle East’s top event management companies.
It is claimed that both Karan and Drisha are childhood friends. Now, Drisha also lives in Dubai and works in the travel industry. They have known each other since childhood, but have been dating each other for over six years.
On Instagram, she is followed by Karan Deol’s uncle Abhay Deol, actor Ranveer Singh and Abhimanyu Dassani.
On the other hand, Karan Deol made his debut with ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’, but the movie failed to do wonders at the box office. He was last seen in another movie titled ‘Velle’.
